While the F70/100 development team are busy putting the finishing touches to the aircraft's complex autopilot system, the F28 Professional team are wrapping up work on the v2.2 upgrade. This will be another free upgrade for existing F28 Professional owners (MSFS 2020 and 2024, PC and Xbox).
Whilst the priority was to upgrade the aircraft to be MSFS 2024 native, allowing it to be released on the MSFS 2024 Marketplace for the first time, we took the opportunity to make numerous other improvements. The most eye-catching of these is the addition of unique cabin branding for all the liveries included with the aircraft, including some very period-authentic touches. Unlike in a modern airliner, the F28 operators came up with some very 'bold' design choices back in the 1970s and 1980s. In the screenshots below you can see just a handful of the ones that will be included in the F28 v2.2 upgrade.
Other upgrades include pre-flight walk-around support in MSFS 2024 and a new EFB tablet model with window mount option.
We'll bring you the full v2.2 changelog and release information very soon.
Alongside the F70/100 and F28 work, the 146 Professional team are busy on the upcoming major upgrade, which will include MSFS 2024 compatibility. More on that soon too!
