The latest aircraft from the Aeroplane Heaven crew is an all-new P-47D Thunderbolt for FSX and P3D v1-v4.
The Thunderbolt (or the 'Jug' as it was affectionately known) was one of the heaviest fighters of World War II and a very capable medium-range escort fighter and ground attack aircraft. It did, however, have an issue with visibility to the rear and so the canopy was modified with an all-encompassing ‘bubble top’ for better all-round vision. This new canopy resulted in the P-47D-25 designation and the Aeroplane Heaven add-on is modelled after the initial P-47D-25 bubble top specification.
The Thunderbolt comes in 15 high quality authentic liveries from the United States Army Air Force, Royal Air Force and Brazilian Air Force, with multiple innovative animations, an optional realistic animated pilot figure and modern high-resolution textures. Features include separate cockpit gauge lighting, custom sound set, gun firing effects, a choice of centre panel options and a load-out control.
Two flight models are supplied and an easy-to-use switcher utility lets you switch between the Pro-Flight version with authentic flight characteristics and the simpler Easy-Fly flight dynamics for those with less experience of this type of heavy high-performance aircraft.
Check out the P-47D Thunderbolt page for more screenshots and all the aircraft details!

As PC Pilot's reviewer says, "Sometimes it's nice to slow down, take a minute and enjoy the moment" and we're delighted that she found our C152 for FSX and P3D the perfect aircraft for doing just that. She certainly seems to have enjoyed her time in the slow lane, giving the aircraft a score of 95/100 and PC Pilot's Classic Product award!
You can read the full review in the new issue (No. 116, July/August) but here are a few of her positive comments about the C152:
"Just Flight has produced a fabulous aircraft. It feels so much more alive than some others and as a result appears somehow more 'real' because of it. The sounds are excellent, the texturing and modelling sublime and the system failures provide another level of immersion."
"The HD textures look fantastic. From the bumpiness of the vinyl on the instrument panel to the wear on the aircraft's door, the textures look sharp and realistic. Outside it's more of the same, with each of the supplied liveries looking equally detailed. Wear and tear adds much to an aircraft that hit 40 last year, and the Just Flight team has captured it perfectly."
"Kudos to Just Flight for coding an excellent flight model."
"All in all, this is a great aircraft to fly."
"A fantastic little aircraft."
Our FSX/P3D C152 is on sale now and a Demo aircraft is available for you to try. There's also an X-Plane 11 edition available for the growing army of sim pilots who are enjoying the impressive latest version of X-Plane.
Check out the PC Pilot website for full details of all the features in the latest issue - as always, it's a great read for the discerning virtual flyer!
