If you'll be joining us at the Flight Sim 2019 show in a few weeks, you'll be among the first sim pilots in the world to get a chance to try the new Airland chopper sim - an early build of the sim will be available to fly on the Komodo Simulations stand! By partnering with Komodo Simulations, specialists in high-end helicopter flight controls, Airland will be able to show this new sim with a professionally built set of control to provide the best flying experience.
A spiritual successor of simulators such as Search and Rescue 4, Airland is an independently developed flight simulator with a focus on helicopters at a high level of flight model realism. Airland will offer pilots a set of very challenging missions around the theme of a rescue operations organisation.
The software is still under development and the Airland team are keen to get hands-on feedback from the FS community. Fred Naar, the CEO of Airland, says: "Cosford presents itself as a perfect opportunity for us to try Airland with simmers with several levels of experience which haven’t had any contact with our work so far. The ability to gauge people’s reactions in person is invaluable and I am sure we will learn a lot."

Just Flight's all-new PA-38 Tomahawk for X-Plane 11 is now on sale!
This new addition to our expanding GA fleet for X-Plane 11 comes in ten paint schemes and features PBR materials with real-time environment reflections and HD textures for the highest possible texture clarity.
The Tomahawk is detailed right down to its vibrating ignition key and among the many authentic features are a comprehensive IFR-capable avionics fit, custom-coded electrical and fuel systems, dedicated interactive engine pop-up window, functioning carburettor and primer controls, Flight Computer panel and a custom Weight and Balance Manager window.
Other features include dimmable cockpit lighting, custom cockpit sounds, interactive checklists, simulated vapour lock and spark plug fouling, realistic flight dynamics and an authentic sound set generated using X-Plane's state-of-the-art FMOD sound system.

We’re very much looking forward to the two-day Flight Sim 2019 show at the RAF Museum Cosford over the weekend of Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October. With only a month to go, here's an update on the latest show news...
Advance one-day adult tickets are now on sale for Saturday and Sunday, and a two-day weekend pass is also available. You can, of course, just come along on the show weekend and pay for admission on either day or for the full weekend. As always, Under-14s accompanied by an adult get in free.
A list of all the confirmed exhibitors at the time of writing can be found on the floor plan below, which also shows where everyone will be located in Hangar 1 - click on the image for a larger version.

Flight Sim 2019 is dedicated to the memory of our old friend Bob Sidwick of RC Simulations, who sadly passed away earlier this year. One of the friendliest and most genuine men you could ever wish to meet, and someone who has made a huge contribution to the Flight Sim community over the years, he's greatly missed by all of us at Just Flight and, we're sure, by many of you too.
